Doing little things for yourself

Sometimes I can get into these funky days or weeks when I’m not feeling quite myself. I either feel a little stressed out, tired, or I have times when I could be much happier. On such days what really matters are the little things you do. Most importantly, the little things you do for yourself.  It is often the smallest things that can make big changes to how you feel. These are some things I like to do for myself.

  1. Take a shower
  2. Take a long bath
  3. Burn some nice scented candles
  4. Have a little pamper session
  5. Put on clothes that make you feel good
  6. Eat what you want!
  7. Put on music you can sing along to
  8. Go for a walk
  9. Get up early in the morning, shower, make coffee, get ready, eat breakfast and have a good start of the day
  10. Buy a bottle of wine
  11. Enjoy some ‘no screen time.’ Have a little break from social media
  12. Read that book you’ve been wanting to read for a while
  13. Organize your closet
  14. Clean
  15. Try a new recipe
  16. Blog
  17. Have lunch with a friend
  18. Remind yourself what you’re thankful for
  19. Write down your thoughts
  20. Do everything purposefully

This list gives you just some ideas what you can do that is just for you and makes you feel good. Remember that you don’t forget do to things for you when you’re working hard to reach your goals!

    I love this post ! I’ve read so many articles that mention how important it is to spend time with yourself, and yourself alone. I recently started journaling and it’s quickly become one of my favorite things to do to unwind and focus on myself. Great post, Happy New Year !

    1. I totally agree on the importance of it, and I am glad to hear you’re doing this by journaling. I am actually thinking about starting as well. I think it’s very beneficial.
